It was our great joy to be celebrating with Ann and Patrick at their wedding. Ann was Sadie's teacher this year, and I was also fortunate to work with them on their wedding invitations.

Ann is Scottish and Patrick is Irish, so lots of Isle culture abound (including Ann's brother on bagpipes); Patrick and his son even wore full kilt for the occasion. This also provided me with a sterling example to answer Sadie's question, "Do boys wear skirts?"

Sadie was not only adorable but unbelievably well behaved and quiet during the entire church ceremony (a full Episcopal mass). The little notebooks and pens they gave the kids probably had something to do with it.

The many kids in attendance enjoyed the bubbles after the ceremony.

Ann is a woman full of laughter. It's infectious, really.

Sadie and Jacob on our way to the reception, which included a fiddle band and lots of Irish tunes, dancing and cake.
Happy wedding, Ann and Patrick!
