Pool day and at home in Tampa

Every day couldn't be a Busch Gardens day on our Tampa trip, so we spent plenty of quiet time at the house. I brought along a 1000 piece jigsaw of letterpress cuts and type and Sadie helped get us started.

As the puzzle progresses, Sadie brings over her own book of puzzles to work on.

Resting on the comfy couches.

Building houses out of pillows, or playing hide-and-seek (or both).

Explaining something very important to Papa during snack.

After bath time.

One morning Lisa and I took a driving tour of some picturesque parts of Tampa. The boardwalk along the bay (across from some very stately and gorgeous old homes) was stunning on this super sunny day.

We stopped to visit a store which had been recommended and next door was an unassuming cupcake shop. Well, didn't we just hit the jackpot!

Peanut butter swirl, banana somethings, strawberry shortcake, and a chocolate chip cookie dough. All a-maze-ing!

While the ladies were out driving, Sadie spent the morning at the pool with Nana & Papa.

Our little fish spent over an hour in the water.

Just happy (and little sun-kissed).

The Berts and Ernies, um, playing in a box.

Sadie learned how to make funny faces.

And our trip wouldn't be complete without a wild sighting of a gator. Lo and Papa can take credit for spotting this guy in sunning along one of the lagoons in the community. Lisa and I ventured for a closer look but the second we got too close he spun around with unexpected speed and  dove back into the water.

The girl loves her technology and I'm pretty sure she plays angry birds better than I do.

Giving Papa John a lesson on the iPad.

And hanging with GG Lo.

Whatever could be next?
