Going to the chapel

Our first and only wedding of 2011 was for friends Sara and Sam. Though they're living in SF, they came home to Boston for their beautiful wedding celebration. It began at the MIT chapel, a non-denominational sanctuary and stunning backdrop for their funny, sweet, beautiful and simple ceremony.

We picked up Sadie and headed over to their reception at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation. Yes, it's a mouthful, and yes, it was as awesome as it sounds.

Nearly everything at the museum is hands on, make it work (sort of). Sadie and I took a break from the party to look around. We spend a good deal of time singing Sadie's made up songs to her own accompaniment at the player piano.

We hammered out our names on dog tags and then climbed up onto the fire engine to ring the bell.

Don't know what this machine is supposed to do, but when you hit the red button it moves in all kinds of awesome ways.

Lots of dancing ensued, as well as the ice cream sundae bar. Here's Sadie with Sam and Sara (post ice cream, in case you couldn't tell).

Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

These photos are so cute and wonderful! (Just like the Barandes family, of course). Thank you so much for being there on our happy happy day. :)
