Current Favorites

Song: ABC's (ah ay ceeees) which you can hear Sadie singing to herself throughout the day as she plays. She only chimes in on certain letters (a, b, c, p (papa, always whispered), esssss, x (ets) and z). This continues the current and ongoing obsession with all things lettters. Wheels on the Bus has only moved into a very close second.

Books: Hippos go Berserk; Goodnight Moon; It's Useful to Have a Duck; Little Blue Truck;

Electronic Media: scrolling through pictures of babies (usually her) on ipods, iphones, cameras, computers or any other electronic devices ("beeehbeeez!"); skype with Bubbie;

Food: peanut butter and banana sandwiches - discovered (with the help of Aunt Lisa) at the beach, a new lunchtime staple. The girl can down an entire two-slice-of-bread sandwich. Lots of fresh fruits, particularly peaches (so delicious right now!)

Drawing: ducks and circles - she can now draw a passable circular shape, but most often likes to color them in. Ducks are by demand (that's right, if you want to draw with Sadie you'd better start practicing your ducks).

Nighttime objects: Mr. Pig and her water bottle (which she doesn't drink but likes to hold)

Color: blue - probably because it's the one she knows how to say, but she's constantly pointing out blue things in the world around her (someone's shirt, a car, books, stripes on blankets). Actually, this trend is bigger than blue - she points out hats and sunglasses (eyes) all around because she knows how to say these words.
