Evolution of a drawing

Step 1. pick just the right colors.

Step 2. orange head

Step 3. red nose - colored in

Step 4. black hair

Step 5. eyes (with pupils)

Step 6. red mouth

Step 7. blue stripe shirt - side to side stripes, of course

Step 8. confiscate drawing from not-quite-two-year-old before she decides it needs more work

We've been working on Ernie drawings for quite some time now, but just the other day I watched her carefully consider her bath toy frog, pick out a green crayon and draw him - red mouth, blue eyes, all colored in green and everything - no help from me. I'll have to hire her soon.
