Taste test

Sadie has a clear bin of soft "wooden" blocks and yesterday wanted to play with them. I unzipped the top and put the container in front of her.

She proceeded to methodically root around, choose and then remove one block. She turned this block over and over in her hands, studying it from all angles. Then she bit into the block. Finally she tossed the block aside and turned back to the container to pick another.

Fifteen blocks later...

Sadie picks up a cube block, turns it over and over in her hands. Then she turns to her discard pile and grabs a matching cube block in her other hand. She looks back and forth from one cube to the other.
