The real reason for Lisa's surprise visit was to celebrate not only her own 30th birthday, but our dad's 60th birthday. Here's the birthday boy at 15 months (I totally see Sadie in this picture).
Sadie was supposed to let in the folks (while I was at a craft fair) and yell "surprise" but forgot, and left Lisa crouched behind the couch.
With this summer-in-december weather (well, not quite, but still) much of the day was spent outside at the playground. Then they all moseyed along to meet me at my fair, where we left together for a delicious celebratory dinner at Grille 23.
Now Sadie remembers how to say Surprise!
